Some “Sweet” reports from fans, and a hilarious phone call from comedian and Sweetie Sandra Valls and very extended conversation with funny fellow Sweetie Chantal Carrere! The laughs keep comin’ on this extended show with all the Sweet details!
The 4th Annual Drunk Dial Pre-Thanksgiving Show kicks off with a traditional call to Donna’s mother (viewmynewvag.com) and some “Sweet Techniques” for teaching in Producer Vicki’s classroom, and slowly spirals down the drunken path of debauchery. Lisa Thrasher of POWER UP calls in with some exciting news – GIRLTRASH: All Night Long, written by Angela Robinson (The L Word, Hung, Girltrash, D.E.B.S.), gets underway in a week! Donations are helpful, and Donna already pledges to raise money- cash for dares! Shannon Wentworth jumps all over that with a $100 donation! Later, longtime friend of The Lounge, musician Julie Schurr, checks in! Dana Goldberg calls in with holiday wishes, and tells us her debut DVD “Hot & Bothered – Dana Goldberg Live” is now available. The drunk dialing continues with calls to comedian Amy Tee, Cathy DeBueno, and then gets even crazier with a call to Carly Pope (on set in Toronto!) Things really get interesting when Denise proposes to Jemma and plans a New Year’s Fiasco of a Wedding on the air. The girls drunk dial musician JD Danner and chat as she holiday shops at Walmart. A call from chatroom regular “olygirl“ warms the girls hearts with holiday wishes.
Good times, big hangovers, no regrets…? Ah…the Holidays.
Due to a recording error, the podcast picks up midway through the show. Our apologies to Chantal Carrere for not having her hilarious phone call on the podcast. We look forward to your Bingo calling on the Sweet cruise, and you are still invited to watch us pass out PopTarts at the morning workouts. Merryn Johns calls in with breaking news that the Bound Magazine launch party will take place on the Sweet Cruise next week. Amy Steinberg calls in to promote her Ft. Lauderdale show next weekend, and gives her opinion as to whether or not Donna should have her “brow-burns” waxed. Denise and Donna have a 4-way with Cathy DeBuono and Jill Bennett, with both the Lounge and “The Gloves are Off” fans listening in. Amy Tee calls in to talk up the Sweet Cruise and invite the girls to do the pub crawl that she will be hosting onboard. The show goes out with a favorite from Jen Foster: “Taking Bob Dylan”.
This “Really BIG” show kicks off with a recap of Denise’s birthday – the special surprise that Jem & the entire gang planned and how they pulled it off!
The second hour brings about some VERY SPECIAL news that Denise and Donna (with Devan’s help) share with listeners. Yes, champagne pops, a few happy tears are shed, much sentiment discussed and big, huge thanks to everyone involved.
The third hour- yes, you read that correctly- the third hour will be complete coverage of the Womenfest 09 Weekend in Key West with SHE Magazine and Dana Goldberg!
