(www.gay-e-magazine.com) The show wraps early so Denise can catch her 5 am ride to the airport and Donna can pack the van!
It’s a big night in the studio when The South Florida Morning Show films the girls for a segment on local morning television. As expected, the girls get through about 8 minutes of good behavior before
their irreverent brand of humor kicks in and the camera guy flips the camera off, puts some headphones on and joins the wild ride. The guest this week is Stacey Nelkin, actress (“Everything is Relative”, “Halloween III”) and author of a great book called “You Can’t Afford to Break Up: How an Empty Wallet and a Dirty Mind Can Save Your Relationship.” (www.youcantaffordtobreakup.com) Stacey talks about the book, some cool sexy things to keep your relationship fresh, and what drove her to write it. Later, the Bar Tab features two Cool Places to Hang: Club Wotever in London, a very trendy, drag king, trans, gender queer bar at 12 Denman St. (woteverworld.com) The other is The Closet, in Columbus, Ohio at 1295 Parsons Ave., for gays and lesbians with awesome music, DJ, live shows, food, and karaoke. Later, the girls celebrate the stars of Space Coast Pride in Melbourne, FL (May 30th) with guest Lisa Moldovan of 107.1 – WA1A FM Radio, who hosts the event every year with Denise & Donna. The London show kicks off with Denise back in studio after her trip. All the details are discussed from meeting some of our London listeners (Gem Boulton, Claire Summerfield, Fred Downs, and Mike Jones) at G-Spot Nightclub, to visiting places that have been highlighted on the show, like First Out Cafe, as well as a day in the “gayborhood”- the Brighton Pier. Kudos to Hazel, the fabulous hostess of the trip, and Jemma for her extreme patience! Later the girls take a call from comedian Elvira Kurt, who kicks off the AquaGirl weekend events with a show in Miami. With technology issues solved, the girls also take a call from Spacecoast Pride headliner Lovari- with his #1 new hit single “Work It Out”. Lovari talks about his upcoming schedule and visit to Florida and also surprises Denise and Donna with a little name dropping regarding one of their favorites. Rounding out the show, Denise finishes up with her funny observations about London life.
